Sunday 10 December, the club had a Christmas Braai on Past President Johan Stofberg’s farm Orleans. It was a beautiful sunny day and the kids were all very spoilt. A birthday was also celebrated with cake and sweets!
The children swam, played musical chairs and were surprised when Santa arrived! Santa brought along one of his elves, but unfortunately The Grinch also made an appearance and attempted to steal some of the gifts.
The adults participated in old fashioned “Boere Sport” with egg and three-legged races to name a few. The adults also proved to the kids that they could also “play” when the water balloons were added to the Boere Sport games.
A braai followed and the ladies made amazing salads & trifle. A splendid end to the 2023 Rotary year!
