Following the success of our initial Soles for Souls project at Breeriver High School, the Rotary Club of Worcester, in collaboration with the Breede Valley Municipality and the Rotary Club of Swellendam, recently delivered 38 pairs of shoes to students at Esselenpark Secondary School.
This marks another important step in our mission to provide much-needed footwear to children in our community, ensuring that they can attend school with dignity and comfort.
These shoes will enable students to focus on their education without the discomfort or worry that comes from not having proper footwear. Once again, we’ve witnessed how something as simple as a pair of shoes can have a profound impact on a child’s daily life and future potential.
As we look ahead, the Rotary Club of Worcester remains committed to expanding the Soles for Souls project. With each successful delivery, we are inspired to reach more schools and provide more children with the essential shoes they need. Our goal is to ensure that no child in our community has to walk barefoot or suffer from inadequate footwear.
We are already planning our next shoe donation and will continue to work tirelessly to identify schools and communities where we can have the greatest impact.
How You Can Help:
As we grow the Soles for Souls initiative, we invite our community to join us in making a difference. Your support—whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading the word—helps us continue to provide shoes to children who need them most. Every contribution brings us one step closer to our goal of ensuring that every child in our area has access to proper footwear.
Together, we are making a lasting impact, one pair of shoes at a time.
