The Rotary Club of Worcester is proud to be part of a meaningful initiative focused on promoting literacy and access to reading materials within our community.
Having recently acquired a number of books, our club has begun distributing them to primary schools, crèches, and old age care facilities in need. These books are more than just stories — they are tools for learning, imagination, and connection.
Reading plays a vital role in development at every stage of life. For children, it builds language, creativity, and confidence. For adults and the elderly, it offers comfort, stimulation, and a sense of engagement with the world.
To expand the reach and impact of this initiative, we are partnering with our Interact Clubs, whose members will assist in distributing the books. Their involvement not only supports the project but also nurtures a culture of service among young people.
At Rotary Worcester, we believe that access to books should never be a privilege, but a possibility for all. Through this initiative, we reaffirm our commitment to uplifting our community through education and literacy.
