Projects

Following the success of our earlier Soles for Souls initiatives at Breeriver High School in May and Esselenpark Secondary School in August, we are excited to share the next step in this meaningful journey.

This time, the Rotary Club of Worcester, in proud partnership with Breede Valley Municipality, Lions Club of Worcester, Rotary Club of Swellendam, Round Table 68, and Worcester Ladies Circle 38, brought the project to the bright young learners of Avian Park Pre-Primary School.

For many of these little ones, receiving their very own pair of shoes and school essentials was a first. The excitement and smiles on their faces reminded us that even the smallest gesture can have a profound impact. Shoes mean safety, dignity, and comfort on the long walks to school, while stationery and bean bags add joy and support to their classroom experience.

Adding an extra layer of care, Worcester Ladies Circle 38 and Worcester Round Table 68 generously donated bean bags for comfort and stationery packs to aid learning—ensuring the children not only received essentials but also the tools and spaces to thrive.

In total, 21 children walked away with new shoes, school supplies, and—most importantly—a heartfelt reminder that they are seen, valued, and supported by a caring community.

We are deeply grateful to every partner who made this possible. Together, we are not just providing items—we are planting dignity, hope, and the reassurance that kindness is alive and thriving in our valley.
