The Rotary Club of Worcester recently had the pleasure of attending the inauguration of Allan Clark as President of the Rotary Club of Swellendam — an evening that beautifully reflected the very essence of Rotary.
From inspiring toasts and a seamlessly organised programme, to exceptional hospitality and the warmest of welcomes, the evening was a celebration not only of leadership, but of connection. What began as a gathering of Rotarians quickly became a room filled with friends, united by a shared passion for service.
Interclub fellowship lies at the heart of Rotary’s strength. It is through these connections that we build lasting relationships, support one another, and work collaboratively towards a common goal — creating meaningful and sustainable impact within our communities. Together, we are stronger, more effective, and more inspired.
A highlight of the evening was the recognition of outstanding service through the awarding of Paul Harris Fellow honours to PP Paul Coetzee, PP Steven Young and PP Johan Kriek. This prestigious recognition reflects their unwavering commitment to Rotary’s ideals and their dedication to making a difference.
We celebrate not only a new chapter of leadership for Swellendam Rotary, but also a growing partnership between our clubs. May this relationship continue to flourish as we build bridges, strengthen bonds, and serve side by side.
