The future of Rotary in Worcester is looking bright, with the Rotary Club of Worcester proudly supporting three registered and active Interact Clubs: Worcester Gymnasium, Pioneer School and High School Breerivier.
On 23 July 2026, the Presidents of all three Interact Clubs were officially presented with their chains of office, marking an important moment in their leadership journeys. They were accompanied by their fellow directors and dedicated mentors, who continue to guide and encourage these young leaders as they grow their clubs and make their mark in their schools and communities.
The evening was about much more than the formal presentation of the chains. It was an opportunity for the young leaders to connect, learn and discover just how many possibilities can open up through their involvement in the Rotary family.
The Interactors were treated to a fascinating presentation by Lina Marshal, an Interactor from France. Lina introduced herself and shared a slideshow depicting her life overseas, giving the young people a glimpse into another culture and another way of experiencing the world.
Her presentation also highlighted one of the exciting opportunities available to Interactors through Rotary: international travel and exchange experiences. Young people involved in Interact can explore both short-term and long-term opportunities to travel, meet people from different cultures and develop friendships and experiences that can stay with them for a lifetime.
For young leaders, the message is powerful: Interact is not simply about serving your school or community. It can also become a doorway to a much bigger world.
The three Worcester Interact Clubs were established and registered during the term of Immediate Past President Juanita Wilkinson, laying the foundation for what has become a growing youth leadership presence within the Rotary Club of Worcester.
Today, that foundation continues to flourish under the leadership and mentorship of Rt Heloise Beukes and the Rotary Club of Worcester. Through service projects, leadership opportunities, fellowship and exposure to the wider Rotary family, these young people are being encouraged to discover their own potential while making a positive difference around them.
Rotary believes in investing in young people, and Interact provides a wonderful platform for exactly that. It gives young people the opportunity to lead, serve, build confidence, develop friendships and understand that their actions can create meaningful change.
With three active Interact Clubs now growing in strength, the Rotary Club of Worcester is proud to stand alongside these young leaders.
Three clubs. Three groups of young leaders. One shared commitment to Service Above Self.
And perhaps, for some of these young Interactors, the next chapter may begin much further from home.
